I am thrilled to say our first Kaleidoscope meeting was a big success and hope you will join us at our next Forum meeting on Wednesday 20th May 2009. 5.30pm to 7.00pm D204, Civic Quarter Leeds Met University. We will have a presentation given by Elizabeth Guest “ Diamonds in the crowd”

This meeting is open to staff, students, or anyone in the community, who has an interest or passion for raising awareness around Autism, Aspergers, Developmental Differences etc.

We hope to share knowledge and experiences, being creative, thinking outside the box, mindful of equality and diversity, and developing an ‘inclusive’ and ‘holistic’ approach for support and teaching practice within the university. A kaleidoscope’ contains designs of many colours, shapes and patterns. The designs are ever changing, sometimes intricate, and sometimes simple. To me, a kaleidoscope compares to life, sometimes intricate, sometimes simple and ever changing. [Greek kalos, beautiful + eidos, form; + -scope.] Enquiries to s.dominey@leedsmet.ac.uk
